Our supporting partners in our quest for social change

Thank you Foundation North
Tuilaepa Youth Mentoring Trust was blessed to receive funding from ASB Community Trust's Catalysts for Change programme which provides multi-year funding to support new approaches to solve complex social issues. The Catalysts for Change funding programme seeks to create significant positive changes in our communities by supporting innovative projects and practices. Catalysts for Change partners are also provided with organisational support through the Trust's Centre for Social Impact.

We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the good will, support and care we have received and continue to receive from Foundation North. We feel we can face the future as patterns continue to change our processes and we are humbled and honoured by your ongoing support of our vision.
We also appreciate the opportunities to catch up with other leaders to share and learn from what they are doing, and have a sounding board for different approaches in terms of funding and approaches.

We believe the opportunities that have opened up for us would not have done so (or would have taken longer to materialise) had it not been for the funding, guidance, expertise, wisdom and credibility offered to us by our association with whanau at Foundation North. We have transformed from “the little engine that could” into a viable, accountable organisation that now serves so many of our young people and their families.

"This is a fantastic project that the ASB community Trust is pleased to support. Their focus on academic mentoring and pastoral support is a great foundation to addressing issues in the area," Trust Chief Executive Jennifer Gill says.

Multi Boards Grants
The Multi Boards grant has allowed us contribute towards youth in our sporting programmes, in ways that have been meaningful and memorable.

Due to the support of Multi Boards, we were able to fund 13 young boys to enjoy the sport of Basketball for the entirety of 2020. This team was described by our coach as "the most loyal, committed bunch I've ever had. They love the game and they just want to play, it's as simple as that". Half way during the season, we bought each player a pair of quality Basketball sneakers which were not only needed, but well-deserved - thanks to the Multi Boards grant (Auckland Council)

What Our Clients Are Saying

Our Location
Find us at 644 Swanson Road, Swanson, Auckland
“If I can just affirm all the great progress that our boys are showing at school in their confidence, physical health, and their learning. Much of which is attributable to the great work that their mentor is doing."

"TYMS helped me grow as a person. They helped me understand a few things that no one else was willing to help me understand, and help me see through things that no one else could."

"Watching my son grow in the time that his mentor has been involved with him, aw bro it's been amazing. Without his mentor, my son wouldn't even be this young man that people are now seeing before their eyes. He's not out getting himself into trouble, bullying others, or hurting girls. My son came home one day after his session with the mentor and he said, 'I'm so happy you got me help mum'".
