​About Moana Tautua
The name ‘Moana Tautua’ is reflective of our mission to serve our Pacific learners. ‘Moana’ (sea) is a representation of our young people and the vast complexities there are throughout their journey.

The purpose of our partnership between Tuilaepa Youth Mentoring Services and Anglican Trust for Women & Children is ‘to serve’ (Tautua) our youth.
Moana Tautua provides one-to-one weekly check-ins for Pacific Learners, reconnecting them to pathways and places of learning, whilst providing visibility and talanoa together with the learner's support systems and village. Moana Tautua’s point of difference include:
  • the programme being specifically designed for Pacific learners
  • school and family engagement
  • cultural empowerment.
Moana Tautua are currently established in the following secondary schools:
  • Auckland Girls Grammar School
  • Henderson High School
  • Kelston Boys High School
  • Kelston Girls College
  • Sir Edmund Hillary Collegiate
